The Chicagoland Missionary Guest Apartments exist solely to honor the Lord by serving His servants, and are a ministry of the Chicagoland Missionary Study Class. Our primary area of ministry is to provide a temporary home for Christian workers commended from Chicagoland assemblies that meet in the tradition of the Plymouth Brethren. We also accept applications from Missionaries and workers commended from other churches and organizations. As the ministry is supported by time and finances from Chicagoland assemblies, first priority for accommodation goes to workers commended from these assemblies. These guests are free to reserve an apartment for up to one year at a time, and longer stays may be possible as needed. Other Christian workers will be accommodated as available on a month by month basis.

Most of our guests are with us during periods of furlough from many and varied overseas locations. Our prayer is that everyone who stays with us will be refreshed, encouraged and renewed with the desire to return to the mission field. We are also honored to be granted the opportunity to spend time in fellowship with our guests. Lord willing, time spent at the CMGA will bring our guests a deeper insight into that 'peace which passes understanding', and a deeper sense of God's presence in their lives as they seek to share that peace with others.
Meet the managers!
Jim and Janice Drechsel took over the position of managers at the CMGA in November 2008. An experienced couple, having raised our family while in fellowship at Lombard Gospel Chapel, we view this position as a tremendous gift from the Lord. The prospect of meeting, serving and fellowshipping with so many of the Lord's servants from all over the world is truly exciting. Ultimately, our desire is to serve God in all that we do, and what a privilege it is for us to meet that desire by serving His servants! Janice is retired after being an elementary school teacher and materials co-ordinator. Jim's career included management, consulting and project management positions in the computer field.
